Treasures

I'm a sentimental girl. I admit it. I have special boxes to collect keepsakes from the boys' childhoods in their closet. We will probably have their wooden ride-on motorcycle in our attic for the next 30 years so our grand kids can ride it. Some things are worth saving.

The boys' rooms are filled with sentimental things. The shelf holds my old gumball machine, a tiger with a butterfly on it's nose my Grandpa carved for me when I was little, and a picture of Eric's dad holding a big fish when he was 3 years old.

The sailboat in the nursery belonged to Eric's uncle Steve. I love that we have something to remember him by hanging in our home.

Our wall shelf has the boys' first Bibles, Eric's marbles from when he was little, my old giraffe baby rattle and a truck Eric bought Ethan when he found out he was having a boy.

We got this cool railroad light at the lake house. It was once a lamp post, but when Eric's parents decided to replace it, I claimed it. Eric removed the pole and added a light in it. The boys use it as a night light now.

I had to add a picture of my little Austin's crib before he graduated to a big boy bed. Someday I'll look back and miss him being little enough to fit in here.
