Our week in Instagram

During our playdate with friends, some deer stopped by to munch on the kettlecorn Eric dumped out for them.  We all got really excited when we spied the buck!

We met the boys up at school for their Thanksgiving lunch.

Friday night we had movie night with Carter and Hayden.  We love having our friends live so close!

I got a
J O B!
After 7 1/2 years at home with the kids, I'm excited to say that I have accepted a position as an admin with a new local business.  I will work from home most of the time and Lauren will go to preschool every day.  She is a busy little girl and it will be really good for her. It's going to be a big change for our family, but we are all very excited about this new chapter!

Halloween 2012

For Halloween this year we had a mummy,

a ninja,

and a cat.

Ethan was in full mummy mode all night.  He would try to scare little kids and pretend to eat everyone.  Austin fit right in with the other 3 ninjas running around.  If anyone told Lauren she was a cute cat, she would say "I'm not a real cat.  I'm a little girl dressed up in a cat costume".  That girl cracks me up!

 The boys

For the past 4 years, there has been a Halloween party in our culdesac.  We were happy to continue the tradition!  We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers before we hit the streets for some trick or treating.

The giant group of kiddos at the party.

We had a great time trick or treating with friends around our loop.  Eric and I were shocked that there were no cars around and we could walk in the streets.  It was so fun!

The after party included sorting and counting all their candy.

It was a super fun Halloween and we love our new friends!

Halloween Camping

Friday we headed down to Leisure Resort to meet some friends for the first cold weather camping trip of the season.  It was even colder than we anticipated up by our campsite on the hill.  Thankfully it was sunnier and not as windy down by the river, so the kids got to soak in the sunshine.

The kids were so happy to run around with their friends and the boys loved camping with their kindergarten teacher!  It was so fun to camp with new and old friends!

We carved pumpkins for the contest the campground put on.

The kids all got their faces painted.

The kids loved the sack races!

Eric's pumpkin won 2nd place. He was so proud.

Then there was the costume contest!

Lauren won best girl costume in the contest!

Adam won best boy costume for his adorable Peter Pan costume.

Ethan won Best Halloween Costume!  He was so excited!

Our creepy crew.

We ended our fun filled day with a spooky hayride.

It was a great camping trip!  We are all ready for Halloween Wednesday!

Go Stars!

We ended our anniversary weekend with our kiddos and Gege at a Stars hockey game.

Eric got us great seats not far from the ice.  The kids loved banging on the glass!

We are so thankful Gege came in town to help with the kids so we could enjoy a night away.

It was the perfect ending to a great weekend!

Our early anniversary weekend

Saturday we celebrated our 10 year anniversary in Gruene!  We met in the kitchen of the Gristmill 14 years ago.  A lot has changed for us in 14 years!

After the soccer games, we drove straight to Gruene to check out Gruene Market Days and enjoy lunch at the Gristmill. We spent all day browsing antique stores, drinking beer, hanging out in Gruene Hall and listening to live music.  It was so much fun and very relaxing!

Before we left for our weekend, I warned Eric to get ready for me to take a million pictures!

We stayed at a B&B just a few doors down from Gruene Hall.

Eric's favorite thing he found in the shops around town.  We did not buy the $17 coffee mug.

Saturday night we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Gristmill.  Our waiter kept calling Eric "sir" and it made us feel our age.  It was really fun to remember all the good times we had in Gruene and we plan to make this our annual anniversary tradition.

Happy early 10th anniversary honey!

goooooaaaaaallllll!

We started off our Saturday at a 9 oclock soccer game.  It's so nice to have the boys on the same soccer team this season!

The cheering section.

Austin scored a goal!

It was a great game and the perfect way to start off a perfect weekend...
