Saturday... the birthday

The boys got to test out their new Puddle Jumper life jackets Saturday at the hotel pool. We have always either held the boys or put them in a boat float in the water. We weren't too sure how the new floats would work, but were so happy when the boys loved them. By the end of the swim, they were both paddling around on their own! They love that they have sharks on the front too!

We decided to take the kids to Dave and Busters for lunch. We had a group of 14, with 6 adults and 8 kids. The kids were all really good and were rewarded by playing games after lunch. I love hanging out with my sister and her family. Taylor, Trent, Trevor and Tatum are so good with the boys and love to play with them. We always have a fun, laid back time hanging out with our family.

Saturday was also my Grandma's 87th birthday. Well, it's the day she has celebrated as her birthday since she was 7 years old. She changed it when she was 7 so that she would have the same birthday as her brother and has always celebrated on that day.
Grandma's entire family was there to celebrate her birthday. Even the newlyweds came over to surprise her. We sang Happy Birthday, blew out candles and opened presents. Grandma got her first cell phone from my parents. She sure is one hip 87 year old! We also took a million pictures since we were all together.

My Aunt Betty Jo has always been a lot of fun. She showed the kids how to slide on the Slip and Slide fully dressed. Now that's a special lady!

Friday... the wedding day

This weekend was a busy, fun weekend. We met up with my sister's family and my cousin Brenda's family at a hotel in Frisco the day of my cousin George's wedding. The kids were all so happy to see each other. They loved staying in a hotel and enjoying the glass elevator, fountain and indoor pool. They loved playing with their cousins and so did I!

George's wedding was Friday night and the whole family was in town to celebrate. It was a beautiful wedding and you could feel the love in the room. The reception was really fun and the boys had a blast on the dance floor.

boys lunch

Jacob, Ethan and Austin met for lunch at La Madeline on Tuesday. Sammy and I tagged along as chaperons. They had fun eating, coloring and being the stinkers that they are. It's so cute to watch Ethan and Austin with Jacob. They love making him smile, which is a very easy thing to do. Any baby they see now is Baby Jacob.

The boys were kind enough to let us do some quick shopping at the outlet mall after lunch. We found some good buys and had fun on our short shopping spree. Thank goodness for seat belts to lock them in their double stroller!

whirlwind weekend

My oldest and dearest friend Rebecca came to see us this weekend and brought her adorable little girl Morgan. She is 7 months younger than Ethan and 7 months older than Austin. She is such a doll! It was so neat to see our kids playing and having a great time together.

Later that afternoon our neighbors hosted a crawfish boil. When you add up friends, water slides and ice cream, they equal two happy little boys!

Today I took Ethan to a bowling party. It was during Austin's nap, so just Ethan and I went. I loved spending time alone with him and we had a great time together. He loved bowling and wants to go back with his brother and daddy soon.

This afternoon was Sarah's baby shower for Daniel. I love baby showers and all the fun stuff that comes along with them. Teenie tiny diapers, hats and onsies are so cute! I'm so excited for Sarah and I can't wait to meet her new little bundle of joy!

Yesterday was my Dad's 69th birthday. We celebrated by going out to eat together. I'm very lucky to have a Dad like him who is so supportive and loving. I love you Dad!
