Christmas Eve 2015

Christmas Eve we went to our church.  There were Minions, 40,000 lbs of snow, awesome music and a great service.

Kids were excited to play in the snow.

The best part of Christmas Eve was Lauren got baptized!  She asked Jesus into her heart and was so excited to be baptized!

After church, we headed back to our house to open some presents.

Beaver's Bend, Oklahoma

During Thanksgiving break, we went on an adventure to Oklahoma with Eric's parents, Nanny and the Pinkertons. We stayed in a beautiful log cabin in Broken Bow, OK.  Eric and his family went camping in Beaver's Bend State Park when they were little and were excited to take our family to experience it.

Lauren may have beat me up the big hill.

Checking out Beaver's Bend State Park!

It was beautiful and the weather was perfect!

Eric and Jennifer have fond memories of this part of the park.  When the warning horn sounds, it means the dam is about to release water and you better run!

So gorgeous!

The kids favorite part of Oklahoma was an awesome lean to fort they built.

They put bark all over the ground to make a floor and had logs to sit on.

They layed down moss to make comfy spots to lay on and left a note for the next people who find it.

We played lots of games in the cabin.

Sadie apparently nosed around the bonfire.  Typical Sadie!

We had the best time hiking around Beaver's Bend.

After a fun day of hiking, we headed back to the cabin for some fishing and a big bonfire.

We had the best time and can't wait to go back!

I'm still on the hunt for Big Foot!

School fun

Austin had a Native American Wax Museum in his class.  He was a warrior and gave a speech about his role in the Lipan Apaches.

Lauren enjoyed her turkey lunch to celebrate Thanksgiving.

The kids had crazy hair day at school. So fun!

Western day!  Love how fun their school is!

Contacts!

After wearing glasses for years, Ethan got contacts!

His eyelashes are so long, it was hard to get them in at first!  With a little practice, he figured it out and is now a pro.

Poor guy has terrible eyesight like I do.  His contacts are -4.25 and mine are -5.5.  I was shocked when he couldn't read the big E. He is counting down the days until he is 21 and can get laser eye surgery.

He loves his contacts and I love seeing his pretty eyes!

Halloween 2015

For Halloween, the kids picked out their own costumes.  Ethan and Lauren wanted to be werewolves and Austin was a zombie football player.

Lauren was one mean werewolf!

Just a few of the kids from the Loop.

Some of the mamas from our loop. It was a super fun Halloween!
