wedding bells

Saturday we headed over to Kyle for my cousin Randy's wedding.  The venue was gorgeous and surrounded with giant oak trees.  The boys were excited to attend the wedding and Lauren was relatively good during the ceremony.  It was so nice to see family we hadn't seen a years!

Austin found a rock he thought was shaped like a phone, so he walked around pretending to talk on the phone. So cute!

It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time catching up with family and hitting the dance floor.

Congratulations Randy and Lisa!

Last games of the season!

Austin had a great soccer team this season.  He was excited to have his fellow classmate Brooke on his team.  (She is one of Austin's many girl friends! Ha!)  Coach Albert was his coach for the past two seasons and we love him!

Austin scored two goals at his last game!

We got his signature thumbs up after his goals.

Ethan had his last T-ball game too.  He really enjoyed the season and is ready to try flag football next!

We will be taking a break from sports during the scorching summer heat, but will start back up in the fall.  We are looking forward to our lazy summer days!

Austin's preschool graduation

After three years at his preschool, Austin had his graduation today!  They sang three cute songs and received dimplomas and new Bibles.  Look how much Austin has changed since the first day he started Mother's Day Out

Lauren was really good during the graduation and my parents were helpful as always.

We missed having Ethan with us, but he was busy in his kindergarten class.

We are so proud of our little preschool graduate and future kindergartner!  We love you Austin!

Legoland Discovery

Ethan and Austin are huge Lego fans, so we thought it would be fun to go to Legoland in Grapevine.  After checking out Jennifer and Kai's gorgeous new house, we headed to check out the new Discovery Center.

The kids were excited to meet a giant Lego minifigure.

Emmy and Jake got to help the Lego Scientist make Legos.

Look how excited the boys were to shoot up the bad guys on the Kingdom Quest ride.  So cute!

Lauren did a little karaoke in the Princess Castle.

While Austin rode the Merlin's Apprentice ride, Ethan and Eric worked on building a Lego car.  There was a great design station and lots of fun ramps to race the cars on.

It went flying!

The 4D movie was pretty cute.  The wind blew on us, it snowed and we even got misted.  The kids loved it.

We had a great time at Legoland Discovery.  Although it is a relatively small place and the cost to get in is pretty high, it was well worth it for our little Lego lovers!

3 months later

It's been three months since Lauren burned her hand.  When it first happened, we had no idea how bad it was.  We had no idea what to expect or how her hand would respond to the burn.  It was very stressful not knowing if she would need a skin graft, lose mobility in her hand or if she would have a terrible scar.

Just three months later, her hand and wrist look amazing!  God's hand really was with us through it all!

As you can see, she has full mobility in her hand!

Thank you for all your prayers!

Quest Fair

Ethan had his very first Quest Fair last night! The kindergartners each had to invent a new kind of bug and Ethan was excited to show off his Snap Bug.

He stood in front of his display and waited for people to come up and ask him questions. He was very proud and it was so cute!

The Snap bug has six legs and lives in holes under trees.  It likes to eat termite towers, bears, deer and other animals with one giant snap.

It's always fun to take Lauren places. She is a handful!

We had a good time at our first Quest Fair and are so proud of Ethan!

xoom

Eric got me a Motorola Xoom for Mother's Day and I am really enjoying it!  I read Water for Elephants and The Help using the Kindle app.  I highly recommend both books and can't wait to see the movie Water for Elephants.  The tablet is great for surfing the internet, organizing my calendar and playing games.

As you can see, my family really enjoys it too!

Ethan's first real art show

Last Saturday Ethan had his first real art show!  In December he had his first art show at home, so he was very excited to participate in a real art show for his school district.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but Ethan designed his heart medallion necklace with a beehive and bees on it.

We are so proud of you Ethan!

Ethan's fun day

Friday Ethan had his field day at school.  Eric went up there to cheer him on and take some pictures.

They played leap frog...

a hula hoop game...

and a balance game with a plunger and ball.

Eric caught Ethan trying to knock over his classmate's ball!  After Eric got on to him, he apologized to his friend. What a stinker!

Later that day, Ethan rode his bike home from school for the first time!  The school is about a mile and a half away and he was very excited about it!

I am so proud of my big kindergartner!
