Lauren's 3rd birthday ice cream party!

Saturday we celebrated Lauren's 3rd birthday with an ice cream party!

We had ice cream cone cupcakes, rice krispie treat popsicles and ice cream with toppings.

Lauren was one happy girl!

She loved when everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to her!

Lauren sat by her presents and waited patiently to open them. 

 

She hugged this present and said "it was just what I wanted!".

She had a wonderful time at the party and was so happy to celebrate her birthday with friends and family!

Happy Birthday Lauren!

Today our baby girl turns three!  She is growing up so fast and is so much fun!  She was potty trained in 3 days and hasn't worn a diaper at all since then, even at night.  She sleeps without a rail on her bed and wants to be big like her brothers.  She loves her blankie, milk and Strawberry Shortcake.  She is such a blessing to us and we are so proud of her!

Ethan collided heads with a boy during P.E. this week.   The result was a swollen nose, shiner and green bruise.  He thinks he looks like a hockey player. Funny boy!

sick days

I've had sick kids at home with me since Friday.  Austin was first, followed by Lauren and then Austin again.  So far Ethan has managed to stay well. 



Austin found a cozy spot to rest in his room.

Lauren has loved watching TV all day, snuggling with momma and getting her nails done. 

Everyone seems to be doing better today.  Tomorrow is Lauren's birthday, so I sure hope everyone stays well!

Valentine's Day 2012

Lauren had a Valentine's Day pajama party at school today.  She was so excited!

Eric's New Year's resolution this year is to learn to play the guitar. He has been practicing every night and is getting really good. We love listening to him! We surprised him for Valentine's Day with a stand for his guitar.

Nothing says Valentine's Day as much as a heart shaped pizza and

cupcakes from GiGi's. Yum!

Sunday Snow!

Sunday we looked out the window and saw big, fat flakes falling from the sky!  Lauren had just layed down for her nap, but we quickly woke her up so she could see the snow too.

 

Lauren loved playing in the sleet/snow.  She made her "I'm freezing" face for me.

Although it was short lived, it was great to see some snow!

Potty boot camp

Since the kids were out of school for a couple days this week because of teacher work days, Eric and I thought it would be the perfect time to potty train Lauren.

The first day was about 50% successful. Today is day two and our little sweetie hasn't had any accidents! We are so excited and proud of her!  Let's hope this streak continues!

Curry Ladies' retreat 2012

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending the annual Curry Ladies' Retreat.  Aunt Thel and Nanny are the matriarchs of the family and are such wonderful role models for all of us. 

Friday Jan and I dropped off the kids at my parents house and headed to Aunt Thel's gorgeous home in Sun City for two nights of fellowship with all the wonderful ladies in our family.  After catching up with everyone Friday night, we went shopping and ate at Laurie's Tea Room.  It was such a fun day! 

Saturday night we had the best time eating yummy food, playing games and catching up.  I love these ladies!

I feel so blessed to have all these wonderful women in my life and treasure my time spent with them at Ladies' retreat!
