Rockets and Fast Trains

Saturday was the boys first soccer games!

Ethan's game was at 8:15 and he did the first kickoff of the season.

Ethan did a great job of staying with the ball.  He had a smile on his face the whole time.

The Rockets slaughtered the other team and Ethan had an assist.

Eric ended up helping a lot during the game since Ethan's coach is having back problems.  Grandma and Grandpa braved the cold with us to cheer on the boys.

Austin's team played at 11 and the weather was beautiful.

Austin seems to like defense the best.  His little nose is scrunched up in this picture and he has a super tough look on his face. So cute!

This picture perfectly describes Austin's first game...  The ball was almost touching his foot, but he didn't seem to notice.  He just liked being out there and running around with his teammates.

Lauren tried to run on the field several times.  We think she is going to be a natural on the soccer field. As we were cheering our boys on, Eric looked over at me and said "You better get used to this... we have 20 more years of soccer games every weekend".  Guess we need to get some comfy folding chairs and I need to get busy making a soccer quilt!

  4. Looks like the first game day was a success. I love that Austin's jersey is so long it could be a dress! Was it really cold?
