Mother's Day weekend

My Mother's Day weekend started Saturday night when these two guys officially became the best husbands ever! Rhys and Eric planned a night for Debbie and me while they watched all 5 kids from 6:30 until the wee hours of the morning. We happily kissed our families goodbye and did a little shopping before dinner at Eddie V's.

The food was fabulous and so was the company. The waiter surprised Brandy, Debbie, Erica and me with a yummy Godiva chocolate cake with "Happy Mother's Day!" written on it.

Moms + chocolate = happiness

After dinner, we headed over to Cool River for drinks. We had a great time and I can't remember the last time I laughed as much as I did. It was good for my tired, mommy soul!

While Debbie and I were partying it up, the boys had a great time playing on our new water slide. Eric and Rhys did great with all the kids and fun was had by all!

Sunday morning I woke up at 10am and later that afternoon took a 3 hour nap. That in itself made it a great day!

Our good friend Thomas and his girlfriend Erica stopped through town to say hello. It was so good to meet Erica and let them meet the kids. I forgot to take a picture of them, so I added one of Ethan and Thomas when E was tiny. We love you Thomas and wished you lived closer!

Sunday afternoon we spent playing with the boys on the water slide. Even though the slide is technically for them, I must admit it's perfect for me too.

Happy boys + hours of fun = happy momma

That night we had a picnic outside. It was the perfect way to end a fabulous Mother's Day!

I loved my card from Eric and the card from the kids was adorable. I LOVE the picture Ethan drew of me. So sweet!

I feel so blessed to have my family. Even though life is a little chaotic right now with 3 kids 4 and under, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm the luckiest mommy ever!
