Austin and Madison met on their third and sixth day of life. They are best friends and they share a special bond. Whenever they see each other, they run together and hug. Austin talks about her when she isn't around and always wants to go outside to see her. If one of them gets hurt, the other one kisses the ouchie. It is so cute! It's funny that kids so young already have people they love to be around. These two are quite a pair and it will be fun to see them grow up together!

bunk bed boys

We did it! We put together the boys bunk beds and they are now sharing a room. I was really sad to move my baby out of the nursery, but Eric thought he was ready and the boys were really excited. Ethan loves to sleep on top and Austin loves his little cubbie hole.

We let them sleep in them last night and they did great! Austin had been sleeping in a crib until a couple nights ago, so we were a little nervous about him climbing out of bed. He stayed put and besides a little giggling and throwing of stuffed animals, they went to bed fine.

It makes me sad to see my baby boy in a big boy bed. He is growing up so fast! He LOVES being in a big bed like his brother though and I'm sure I'll get used to it. I'm just happy they stayed in bed and haven't crawled out... yet!

Madison and Austin's birthday bash

Since Madison and Austin were born only three days apart, we decided to have a neighborhood party for them at the park to celebrate their second birthdays. They are so darn cute together!

Right after the party, some people in our neighborhood set up a movie to watch in the park. The kids sat and watched Garfield for a while. It was a fun ending to a fun night!

DVR love

Lost or ER, Grey's Anatomy or The Office, who can choose?
But thanks to my DVR, I never lose.

My guilty pleasure is one or two shows a night,

McDreamy and McCallister are both really hot,

the party never ends

We are still celebrating Austin's birthday. Today my parents came over to celebrate and give the boys bubble guns. They had a blast shooting bubbles with their grandma and grandpa.

The boys don't actually eat cupcakes. Instead, they just eat the frosting off the top. Next time we will just give them a tub of icing and call it a day. Two celebrations down, one to go. Hey, you only turn two once!

My baby boy turned two yesterday. The years have gone by so fast! It seems like just yesterday I was swaddling Austin and chasing 15 month old Ethan around.

Austin is my precious baby boy. He is sweet and mischievous all at the same time. I love his raspy voice, hazel eyes, button nose and that smile that melts my heart. I love the way he runs to me and says "hold me, hold me, hold me" in his sweet voice. I love the way he giggles when you bathe his belly in the bathtub. I love the way he LOVES his grandma and Gege and becomes their shadow the instant he sees them. I love the way he is so gentle with babies. I love that he has to have at least two pacifiers to go to sleep even though I'm trying to break the habit. I love the way he wants to be just like his big brother. I love how proud of himself he is when he floats on his back in the bathtub. I love how much joy he brings us every day. I just love that kid!
